In order to maintain consistency and plausibility around the site, some occupations require that a character reach a certain age before they can take on that position, particularly leadership positions like the Headmaster, or Minister of Magic or such. This applies to each and every character on site and that includes, new characters, characters changing their occupations.

While some occupations have only a age limit on them, some positions insist on having an experience too especially the head or top positions. These all will be listed below for the members to follow.

Headmaster/Headmistress - 45 of age; should have been working for more than 15 years as a professor
Deputy Headmaster/Headmistress - 40 of age ; should have been working for more than 10 years as a professor
Head of House - 35 of age; should have been working for more than 7 years as a professor

Professor (Newts level) - 30 of age ; would be teaching only the sixth and seventh year students; should have experience of at least 4 years
Professor (OWL level) - 28 of age; would be teaching third through fifth year students; should have experience of at least 2 years
Professor - 25 of age; would be teaching the first and second years, and also the common subjects
Substitute Professor - 25

Caretaker - 25
Gamekeeper - 22
Guidance Counselor - 30 of age; must be trained in their job for at least 2 years.
Librarian - 27
Matron - 25 of age; must be trained for 2 years as a healer; may or may not have worked as a healer professionally.
Nurses - 20 of age; must be trained for at least a few months or can be training under the Matron.
Quidditch Referee - 25; must have played the game prior.

Director - 45 of age; should have been working as a healer for at least 20 years; and should have been a ward head or deputy ward head at some point

Ward Head - 35 of age; should have been working as a healer for at least 15 years;
Deputy Ward Head - 30 of age; should have been working as a healer for at least 10 years;

Mediwitch/Mediwizards - 20 of age ; should have completed the mandatory training of one and a half year
Trainee - 18 of age; should complete their respective training for the given amount of time to proceed

Grief Counselor - 25 of age; should have completed the mandatory training of one year

Minister of Magic - 35 ; should have been working as a ministry employee for at least 15 years; and should have been a dept head or deputy head at some point

Head of a Department - 30; should have been working as a ministry employee for at least 10 years;
Deputy Head of a Department - 28; should have been working as a ministry employee for at least 5 years;

Ministry Official - 20
Ministry Trainee - no minimum; should complete their mandatory training for the stipulated time

Head Auror - 30; should have been an auror for at least 7 years
Senior Auror - 25; should have been an auror for at least 3 years
Junior Auror - 20; should have completed their mandatory training of 3 years.

Magical Law Enforcement Squad - 20; should have completed their mandatory training of 2 years.
Hit Wizard - 23; should have completed their mandatory training of 4 years.

Chief Warlock - 40; should have been a wizengamot member for at least 5 years.
Court Scribe - 20
Youth Representative - 18 min and max 24
Wizengamot Member - 30; should be a dept head or deputy head in the ministry and Mungos or should be very well known for their own achievements. Almost all the Order of the Phoenix members have earned a seat in Wizengamot for their services to the wizarding public after the war in 1979.

Ambassador of any country - 25

Supreme Mugwump - 40; should have been a representative before.
International Confederation of Wizards Representative - 35; should have been working in the Dept of International Magical Cooperation.
